The Church of the Brethren has engaged in an unprecedented churchwide conversation on what it means to be the church. The conversation was carried out in church fellowship halls, Sunday school rooms, district conferences, board meetings, and national conferences. Together we talked abut what it means to be the church today and what God's yearning is for the Church of the Brethren.
What did we say to each other? And what did we hear? Through this report, which provides a representative collection of the many words spoken in these conversations, our listening can be more profound. We have talked together, and we are still listening together. A discussion guide is included to help groups continue the conversation.
This book is for all who participated in a Together conversation and all who care about the Church of the Brethren.
